4 Facts About Boyz II Men’s Formation at a Philadelphia High School

The group formed in 1988 at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts. Members Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Michael McCary met and began singing together there.

The school is a public magnet school focused on arts education. It has produced other notable alumni, but Boyz II Men remains one of its most famous acts.
